Unprecedented demand for workers helped power another month of job gains as U.S. employers added 428,000 new jobs in April, according to the latest employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate held at 3.6 percent, close to what is considered full employment. Wages continued to climb last month, reported at an increase of 5.5 percent year-over-year, driving concerns about an inflationary wage spiral.
