Proposal Could Lessen Family Members' Dependence on Employer Health Plans

Starting in 2023, spouses and dependents of low-income workers who are currently covered under an employer-sponsored family health plan may be eligible for financial assistance to buy coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplace, under a proposed rule change.
