President Trump Suspends Immigration

​President Donald Trump announced during a White House briefing April 21 that he will temporarily suspend immigration into the United States. He had tweeted the preceding night that he would sign an executive order suspending immigration to protect American citizens’ jobs. The president said at the briefing that the executive order was being written and likely would be signed April 22.
