Achievement Awards Still Deductible—Within Limits—Under Tax Act

Restrictions on the deductibility of employee achievement awards were sustained by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. But if employers abide by the rules, they can avoid taxes on noncash awards that help to attract talent, foster engagement and promote retention.
