Unemployment Claims Trending Higher

​States reported that 262,000 workers filed for new unemployment benefits during the week ending June 10, marking the second week in a row of new highs this year for unemployment claims and the highest level for initial claims since November 2021. First-time jobless claims previously had leveled off, barely moving for much of the last month.
