Recruiting, Retention Was Volatile in 2021

Amid the rise and fall and rise again of COVID-19 case counts and the machinations behind vaccine requirements in the workplace, employees began to prioritize work-from-home arrangements, flexibility, better pay and protection from the pandemic. Employers struggled to find and hold on to workers as workplaces reopened and employees took control of the labor market.
