California Adopts Statewide ‘Right to Recall’ Law for Certain Industries

Certain California businesses must prepare now to comply with new obligations to rehire laid-off workers who are qualified for available jobs. The statewide law does not pre-empt local ordinances that create greater employee rights or have additional enforcement provisions.
