South Korea: 52-Hour Rule Slated to Take Effect for Small Businesses

In 2018, the South Korean Labor Standards Act was amended to restrict an employee’s maximum work hours from 68 hours to 52 hours per week. As of July 1, the 52-hour workweek rule will apply to all businesses that have five or more employees.
