Worker Entitled to Unemployment Benefits After Taking Time Off

A California employee who leaves work for good cause is entitled to a presumption of having not voluntarily quit. The presumption may be overcome, but only upon evidence showing the employee positively repudiated the obligation to return to work in clear terms.
