Virginia’s Employment-At-Will Doctrine Has Narrow Public Policy Exception

The Supreme Court of Virginia held that to state a valid wrongful termination claim based on public policy, an employee must allege either that the termination itself violated a statutory public policy or that the employer prevented the worker from exercising statutory rights.
