Understanding FMLA Leave for a Family Member’s Military Service

Eligible employees may take Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave for qualifying events while the employee’s spouse, son, daughter or parent is on covered active duty or has been notified of upcoming service. Here are some examples of events for which FMLA leave must be given.
