Nearly 5 Million Jobs Gained in June; Unemployment Rate Drops Again

The U.S. economy showed positive job gains for the second straight month in June, adding 4.8 million jobs, and the unemployment rate fell to an approximate 12 percent from an adjusted 16.4 percent in May, according to the latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. There’s been a significant rebound in industries such as leisure and hospitality that once experienced the greatest job losses, as the economy slowly continues to recover.
