Labor Department’s Update to 'Regular Rate' Calculation Expected Soon

The White House Office of Management and Budget cleared a Labor Department rule that may provide some clarity to employers about which perks must be included in workers’ “regular rate” of pay, which is used to calculate overtime premiums under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
