IRS Extends Nondiscrimination Relief for Frozen Pensions to 2021

The IRS has again extended the temporary relief from select nondiscrimination requirements for defined benefit plans that are closed to new participants. Plan sponsors may continue to rely on this relief for plan years beginning before 2021, at which point IRS anticipates that changes to the nondiscrimination regulations will be finalized.
