First-Time Jobless Claims Decline to New Pandemic Low

New weekly unemployment claims fell to the lowest level since March 2020 during the week ending July 10, nearing its pre-pandemic level as the labor market continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. States reported that 360,000 workers filed for new unemployment benefits, a decrease of 26,000 from the previous week’s revised level.
