Federal Judge Blocks Expanded Access to Association Health Plans

A federal judge struck down a Department of Labor final rule that had relaxed restrictions on multiemployer health plans. The association health plan rule had made it easier for small businesses to band together to buy health insurance without some of the regulatory requirements that individual states and the Affordable Care Act.
