Federal Agencies' Final Rule Revises 'Surprise Billing' Arbitration Process

A new final rule on arbitration under the No Surprises Act clarifies that arbitrators must select the offer that best represents the value of the out-of-network service under dispute but, in reaching that decision, gives arbitrators more leeway to assess information submitted by the health plan or health care provider.
