Employers Report Big Job Gains in March

Unprecedented demand for workers helped power another month of strong job growth as U.S. employers added 431,000 new jobs in March, according to the latest employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate fell to 3.6 percent from 3.8 percent in February. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, the unemployment rate was 3.5 percent.
