DOL Guidance Could Put a Crimp in 401(k) Brokerage Windows

U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) guidance cautioning employers about offering cryptocurrency as a 401(k) investment also warned about letting participants invest in crypto through an open “brokerage window” platform, suggesting that plans could now be expected to monitor investments made through brokerage windows.
