What job would be good for someone with anxiety?

We all have our quirks, and social anxiety is one of the more common ones. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do the things you love and make a living doing them. Here are some jobs that might be just right for people with social anxiety:

Social media manager

You don’t have to meet people in person if you don’t want to. You just need to be able to write well and use good grammar. You can handle a client’s social media pages all from the comfort of your home.

Writer

You can work from home and avoid the stress of working with others in an office environment. In today’s world, most writers work remotely, and there’s barely a need to meet their team physically. You can craft amazing pieces all from the comfort of your room without socializing. This is a perfect job for introverts with social anxiety.

Telemarketer

You probably don’t think this will be a good job for people with social anxiety. But think about it: you have a script to follow, and if you mess up, you can just start over again. There’s no need to worry about other people’s reactions. This job is ideal if you want to learn how to get over your social anxiety gradually.

Tutor

If you really like kids (and maybe don’t mind answering their questions over and over again), tutoring might be a great option for you. You’ll have consistent hours and can help children with their homework—and then go home at the end of the day without having to deal with other people’s reactions or opinions.

Accountant

Accountants have an advantage over other business roles because they don’t have to interact with people as much. They also control their own workloads and aren’t under pressure to perform at all times (like salespeople).

Copywriter

One of the jobs for introverts with social anxiety is copywriting. If you love writing but dislike interacting with people (and vice versa), then this job could be ideal for you. All you need is a computer and an internet connection—and lots of patience.

Pet Sitter

If animals are your thing, walking dogs or caring for pets might be perfect for helping you overcome your fears of being around other people (and animals). You’ll also get to exercise in an environment that’s comfortable for you. This is a nice job for introverts with social anxiety.

Graphic Designer

Another one that is a perfect job for people with social anxiety is graphic design. Most graphic designers are remote workers and tend to have their own personal space for creative thinking. This means that they barely have the need to interact with people unless necessary. You can become a graphic designer and join the train.

Transcriber

Transcribers basically listen to audio and write down what they hear. This simply means that they have little to no need for socializing. Having a transcription job could be the best way to handle your social anxiety.

There are a number of jobs for people with social anxiety that help them bring out the best of themselves with little to no interaction with other people.
