August Job Growth Disappoints

​U.S. employers added a meager 235,000 new jobs in August, with hiring in business services leading the way, according to the latest employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate dropped to 5.2 percent from 5.4 percent in July. Economists had forecast that employers added about 720,000 new jobs last month.
